FAQ
1. Do you work with all skin types and all skin conditions?
Yes, I work with ALL skin types. I work with MOST skin conditions. In my 6 years of doing skin analysis, I have yet to come across a situation where I need to stop working with someone. Usually at most, it becomes a more integrative approach with the recommendations of a doctor like a dermatologist. I've worked with oily, dry, and combination skin types, and sensitive skin issues like eczema, cystic acne, and rosacea.
2. How do you work to heal the skin from the outside in and inside out?
I believe in a functional approach to skincare. The skin is our body's largest organ, and the one that everyone sees. Sometimes it's trying to tell us something about our topical skincare regimen by how it is acting, but also sometimes it's trying to tell us something is out of balance internally. Depending on someone's individual needs, I may recommend visiting healthcare specialists to also address things internally, based on how I'm seeing the skin behave.
3. Do you only work with people of color or do you work with everyone?
I work with everyone! I have experience in helping people of color better understand their skin type and how it relates to the amount of melanin in their skin. From my own personal experience and through years of seeing patterns, the fields of dermatology and esthetics tend to not include skin of color in their research and findings. There is a gap in skin education and I' passionate about filling that gap.
